The Bigfoot Motel is located 40 miles east of Arcata(HWY 101) on HWY 299, and 98 miles west of Redding( HWY 5) on HWY 299. The newly designated Bigfoot Highway 96 starts in downtown Willow Creek and travels north alongside the Trinity River and meets the Klamath River in the town of Weitchpec.

The weather in Willow Creek is very warm in the summer and cool in the winter. Temperatures range from 70 degrees to over 100 degrees in the summer.

Camp Kimtu and Veterans Park are a short walk away. The park leads down to the waters edge. Baseball diamonds and swings as well as a lush park with picnic tables make Veterans Park a great place for kids and adults.
